ok, This game is good engough that I thought it deserved its own thread here in the game corner. Terraria is a cool game that my friend Doppler got me hooked on. The best way to describe it would be the Metroidvania version of Minecraft. It can be brutally unforgiving and tons of fun.
the system requirements are pretty low at
OS: Windows Xp, Vista, 7 Processor: 1.6 Ghz Memory: 512MB Hard Disk Space: 200MB Video Card: 128mb Video Memory, capable of Shader Model 1.1 DirectX®: 9.0c or Greater
so older computers shouldn't have many problems with running it. The best method for connecting appears to be via Hamachi. you can setup a "dedicated" server (dedicated is in quotes because the server runs in it's own window, and you actually play in a seperate window)
it's currently 9.99 via STEAM, and in my opinion WELL worth every penny.. honestly there is enough to do that $15-$20 would be worth it imo. you build houses, craft items, fight monsters!!! SAVE THE RANDOMLY GENERATED SEMI PERSISTANT WORLD!!!
