No, I don't know what "xkcd" means, but it's probably something to do with calculus. Somehow, this guy manages to keep this webcomic brainy, amusing and maybe even a bit educational. For example:

The relative depths of the world's lakes, seas and oceans
A complete map of optimal Tic-Tac-Toe moves
The gravity wells of our solar system (or how much relative thrust you would need to escape most any planet or moon in our solar system, from Mercury to Neptune)
Lengths of movie character interactions in five movies or movie trilogies (and what the heck is Primer, anyway?)
Dominant chess players and basketball players over time
