 | Mounting the steps towards the stage, you realise that Elfsong is dark save for the light of a single torch which halos your face in soft, yellow light. Your features can clearly be seen and the patrons have quieted. Vale tradition demands it, others expect it - and now it's your turn to tell us who you are, from whence you hail and anything else you care to reveal by the soft glow of torchlight.

The House of Ainsley  | | Your introduction over, and warm welcomes passed, you step down and it is now time to mingle with the other inhabitants of the Vale. The soft buzz of conversations, renewed after your speech, reaches your ears as you reach for your complimentory tankard. Your opinions and thoughts and even questions are welcome here, you may say they are even expected. Speak up and let yourself be heard!

The House of Ainsley | | Here, along the quieter halls of Elfsong, you find many interesting objects lining the walls, crowding glass cabinets and sagging shelves. Upon closer inspection, you realise that these are the artistic products of the inhabitants of the Vale. At the end of the hall, you find a glass cabinet that is completely empty. There are letters etched into a small silver plaque and as you read by lamplight, you realise that it is your name. The cabinet is yours. Now all you need to do is fill it.

The House of Ainsley | | Whether you find the atmosphere of the Common Room stifling, or you need some space, or even a small break, you come to this room. However, you find that it is only slightly less stifling, with only a little more space and almost no opportunity for a break as the patrons beckon you towards games, quizzes, questionaires and general frivolity. You are handed paper and quill and welcomed with gleaming smiles and cunning glints in many eyes. Can you win?
